About me

Music has been a central part of my life from the very beginning. My formal journey began with achieving the 8th degree in piano at the Conservatório Regional de Música de Viseu Dr. José de Azeredo Perdigão in 2018. This strong musical foundation later led me to pursue a degree in Electronic Music and Music Production at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco.

While completing my degree, my fascination with sound in cinema grew, particularly with the art of Foley. This interest pushed me to explore sound beyond music, focusing on how movement, texture, and performance contribute to storytelling on screen. In 2019, I set up my own Foley studio at home, where I began developing my craft in a practical and hands-on way.

Over time, I continuously upgraded my studio, refining both the space and the tools I use, always with the goal of creating more natural, detailed, and believable sound effects.

In February 2023, I enhanced my skills through an internship at the 119 Marvila Studios in Lisbon, an audio post-production company. During this experience, I worked on Foley recording, performance, and editing, as well as dialogue editing, gaining valuable insight into professional post-production workflows.

In January 2025, I had the opportunity to attend a Foley workshop with Pete Burgis at 344 Audio in Manchester. This experience significantly deepened my understanding of the craft and reinforced my confidence to pursue my work independently.

Today, as a freelance Foley artist, I focus on creating natural and realistic sounds that bring scenes to life. From footsteps to everyday object movements, my approach combines performance, precision, and attention to detail, always in service of seamless and authentic storytelling through sound.
